What kind of equipment will I need to have in my home to do the job?
A desktop/tower computer with a separate monitor is recommended, however a laptop computer is allowed. Dual boot machines, Netbooks, and Tablets are prohibited from use. Windows 7, 8/8.1 and 10 are the only compatible operating systems at this time. (OS requirements vary by client). Mac OSX may be supported for a very limited set of job opportunities. Please see the job opportunity announcement for the clients software system requirements first before making any purchases.
You will also need a USB headset with microphone (for training certification). Logitech, Plantronics, and Microsoft have offerings and can be purchased here. You will also need a hardwired telephone and headset (for taking inbound calls). AGPtek brand offers a low cost noise cancellation headset telephone and can be purchased here. Most clients will accept digital phone lines through your cable provider however VoIP software such as Skype is not accepted. Client programs have varying requirements for additional software compatibility. Internet Explorer 8.0 or 11 or Edge on Windows 7, 8 and 10. Mozilla (Firefox 14 to 42) both Windows and Mac Safari 8 or 9 (Apple Mac only) are currently supported. Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows is also required. Why do I have to complete a background check?
Since our Client Support Professionals will be handling the sensitive information of clients that we service in partnership with Arise, Arise has required that a background check must be completed. If you have been convicted, pled guilty or pled no contest to a felony or certain misdemeanors such as fraud, and cannot successfully pass the background check you will be not be eligible for hire. Please note that it is the applicants responsibility to pay for the background check fee of $7.95. Hinson Enterprises does not collect this fee, it is paid directly to the 3rd party investigation company and the results are quickly processed and submitted directly to Arise.
When will I get paid?
As a subcontractor of Hinson Enterprises, you will be paid bi-monthly on the 15th and 30th of every month, via direct deposit or check. You will receive a pay stub for each pay period.
Are taxes withheld?
As an independent contractor taxes are not withheld from your paycheck. Please be advised that you will be working for Hinson Enterprises as a 1099 independent contractor, not an employee. You will be required to pay your federal and state taxes (if applicable in your state) directly to the IRS. Please consult a tax professional to ensure understanding of your obligations as a self-employed individual. What kind of work will I be doing?
Once you have been accepted as a certified CSP, you will have access to select the client you wish to provide service to. The work consists of taking inbound calls to provide customer service. There are opportunities for positions that include sales, which may provide bonuses and incentives that may increase your pay. There may also be technical support positions available via phone and or instant messaging. All calls are inbound, there is no cold calling, or outbound sales calls of any kind.
What does training involve? How long is it? Do I get paid for training?
All training is done in a virtual setting. You will be in a training class with other Client Support Professionals as well as a live instructor. There will be videos, slideshow presentations, and active participation during training. You will be able to speak directly to your live instructor and ask questions! Training can be anywhere from one day to one month depending on which client you choose to service. All of the information regarding class times and course length will be available to you through the job opportunity announcement so that you can make an informed decision about what client you choose to service. Training is not paid, however you are able to start earning income the day you start servicing customers for the client, once training is complete and certification is passed.
What is an IBO and a CSP?
IBO stands for Independent Business Owner. An Independent Business Owner is the owner of an incorporated entity such as a Limited Liability Company and operates their business through it. Hinson Enterprises LLC is an IBO that has obtained a Master Service Agreement from Arise, which allows us to hire Client Support Professionals to work under our business. This is a great benefit to those looking for work-at-home opportunities.
CSP stands for Client Support Professional. This is an individual who has gone through the initial application process, both through Hinson Enterprisses and Arise, and has successfully passed the required background check. Once CSP Certification is obtained, you will be able to select Hinson Enterprises as your IBO and select a client with job openings and complete the necessary training.
Are these temporary positions?
Most of our clients job opportunities provide full time and part time hours all year round. There are some clients who have additional hours available during busy seasons and heavy call volumes, and other clients who only have job postings available at certain times of the year for a set period of time. There are many opportunities to choose from and you have the freedom to choose the client(s) that will best suit your needs.
Who is Arise?
Arise was first started in 1994. They provide a virtual business platform to connect Independent Business Owners such as Hinson Enterprises LLC, with those wishing to become work-at-home Client Support Professionals in order to provide contact center outsourcing services to Fortune 500 and other large companies. Arise has been recognized as a work-at-home pioneer and has been offering their services for over two decades through thousands of independent, work-at-home technical support, sales, and customer service providers in the United States, Europe, and Canada.
Why is a technology fee deducted from my paycheck?
Hinson Enterprises has to cover its business management costs. Our goal is to have the top performing Client Support Professionals. Our low support fee allows us to provide our CSP's with support during all phases of their certification process and during the course of our partnership. It also helps to provide you with the tools and infrastructure needed to succeed. We also provide accounting, payroll, year-end tax preparation, and administrative services needed, in order to keep you servicing successfully for our clients through the Arise Network. Our support fee is a flat rate of $45 per invoice. This includes the Arise Technology fee that Arise charges to cover their web training portal, technical support assistance, scheduling system, and overall infrastructure. The support fee helps cover the cost of doing business all while providing you a great opportunity to work-from-home and without the hassle of having to incorporate yourself, which can be confusing, time consuming, and costly.

What hours will I work?
The work-at-home opportunities allow you the freedom to choose when you want to work! Many clients only require a minimum amount of hours per week, typically between 15-20 hours. You have the flexibility to choose what time of day and what day of the week you prefer to work based on the clients needs and hours of operation. Hours are scheduled through the Arise virtual platform software.
Are you only accepting applicants from the United States?
Yes. Currently we are hiring legal residents in all states with the exception of the following: New York, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and Oregon as we are not registered to do business in these states. You must also be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for hire.
Why can't I just work for Arise directly?
Arise does not hire employees or independent contractors directly. They partner with incorporated businesses who hire independent contractors to work for them. By contracting through Hinson Enterprises we provide individuals opportunities to work from home through the Arise Technology platform without the worries of managing a business or enduring the costs associated with incorporating.
How long does the registration process through Arise take?
You will have a total of 3 days to complete the registration process. This includes creating a profile, successfully passing the background check, signing the Non-Disclosure Agreements, joining the Arise Network, and selecting a client opportunity and training schedule. The Arise registration process is very fast and simple!
How much do the positions pay?
You can earn between $8-$15 base per hour depending on commissions bonus for sales positions, the company you choose to provide service for, and your performance. Some Client Support Professionals may choose to service more than one client to maximize their earnings.
